You are invited to The Prosperity Fund's first in a series of educational seminars about the issues facing seniors in Ottawa.
Where:
The Community Foundation of Ottawa
301-75 Albert Street (near Metcalfe)
Ottawa, ON K1P 5E7
When:
Tuesday June 28, 2011
11:45 AM to 1:00 P.M. (EDT)
In partnership with Desjardins Financial Security, we will explore the need to prepare for a Loss of Independence during your lifetime, or during the lifetime of someone you love. We will also explore the reasons and the incidents of risk, and what to do about it.
Many seniors face significant challenges once the time comes when they require assistance with daily activities of living due to aging, sickness or frailty. Often, this happens suddenly and many seniors are left questioning on how and who will care for them.
- 1 in 5 individuals require assistance by the age of 65
- 4 in 5 individuals require assistance by the age of 80
The seminar will be hosted by Patricia Vigna, Regional Sales Manager of Desjardins Financial Security. Patti has travelled across Canada speaking at the World Critical Illness conference on Long-Term Care issues, and has met with individuals, professional health care providers, and advisors about the need to plan for the “Cost of Health” while planning for retirement. During her lengthy career, Patti has observed the impact of the lack of planning for health care issues on business, family income and the deterioration of wealth.
Patti has also been a caregiver to various family members and close friends over the past 15 years during her working life. She knows firsthand the impact of being a caregiver while trying to provide for your own family.
Please RSVP by clicking on the “Register Now!” link below. There is no cost for the seminar; however, donations are appreciated. 100% of all donations will be endowed with The Prosperity Fund.
