Volunteer with The Prosperity Fund!

Aug 18 -

The Prosperity Fund is looking for volunteers to help with its upcoming programs, events and activities. Only with your help can we continue to enhance the quality of life of seniors in Ottawa.

There are a number of exciting opportunities for you to help. Your time is our most valuable resource, and your time can be donated in very powerful ways:

  1. Participate as a member of our Setting the Path to Prosperity Annual Fundraiser Committee and help us raise funds that will enhance the quality of life of residents in non-profit long-term care (LTC) homes via additional funding, programs and services. The date of our next fundraiser is Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
  2. Join our Tim Hortons’ Comforts of Home Committee and spend some quality time with residents - sharing stories, experiences and providing companionship to those who spend much of their time alone.
  3. Help our Students for Seniors Program by engaging students to volunteer in our non-profit LTC homes, facilitating a very important intergenerational connection between youth and the elderly.
  4. Bring your skill set to The Prosperity Fund to help us raise additional funds, increase awareness, and educate the community on the issues faced by seniors.

As a volunteer-run charity, all of our donated capital is directed towards our cause.

If you have already registered, thank you. If you have not yet registered, you can register to be a volunteer by clicking the Register Now! link below. You will be asked a series of questions so we can best align your interests with our programs. Our first volunteer meeting will be held in September 2011, so please register as soon as you can!
